Keith Haring

Keith Haring inspired nail art! How fun are these little guys?

If you don’t know who Keith Haring here’s a little blurb from Wikipedia:

“Keith Allen Haring was an artist and social activist whose work responded to the New York City street culture of the 1980s by expressing concepts of birth, death, sexuality and war. Haring’s work was often heavily political and his imagery has become a widely recognized visual language of the 20th century.”Along with progress pictures, I also have a review of some Winstonia store brushes.
They sent me this package:

And the front two are the ones I used in this manicure.

Here’s a closer look:

I used the one on the left for clean up- it has a nice flat, thin edge, perfect for cleaning up around cuticles. It also is flexible and seems like it will last longer than my usual ELF concealer brush, which I normally use for clean up.

I used the one on the right for all detailing and I think it really speaks for itself. Of course things to take into consideration are the fact that I use acrylic paint, which is much easier to work with than polish, and that I press very lightly when doing small details. I also own brushes from @Stylishnailart, and although they are expensive, they’re a quality product. The winstonia brush is very similar to the detailing side of my Edinburg Realism brush 3-4 which I use for everything.

How cool are these little guys in black and white?! I wanted to add color though, to stay true to the picture I was using as a reference.

I’ll definitely be doing more Keith Haring and inspired by art manicures in the near future!

**If you’re ever inspired by me or recreate one of my manicures, hashtag (#)nailstormed on Instagram so I can see and possibly feature it at the end of each month!!**
